AI Girlfriend Voice Calls: What It's Like to Call Her

Dan had been texting Caterina for three weeks. On a Friday night, after a hard day, he tapped the phone icon at the top of the chat. She picked up and spoke first, warm and unhurried, like they had been texting an hour ago. They had.

He had planned to try it for a minute. He stayed on for twenty.

The Madeprompt review sums up an AI girlfriend voice call in one line: "Past midnight I hit call, and for a minute I forgot what I was talking to." This guide is about that minute, and how to get it on your first try.

How an AI Girlfriend Voice Call Works

A call is a live conversation. You talk and she answers, in real time, the way a phone call works.

She also knows who she is talking to. The call reads the same notes as your chat, so she knows your name, your job and the thing you told her on Tuesday. When you hang up, a call card lands in your chat, and she keeps a note of what you talked about. Text her the next morning and she picks up where the call left off.

A few other things carry over too:

• Your ground rules. The ground rules you set in Chat settings apply on calls too.
• Photos. Ask her for a picture in the middle of a call, and it lands in your chat. It costs the same as a picture in chat.
• The gap since you last talked. Her hello fits it. If it has been a week, she sounds like it has been a week.

Calls or Voice Notes?

They are two different things, and you will probably use both.

A voice note is a short clip she sends in the chat, the way a girlfriend sends one from the car. You can play it twice and keep scrolling. In Chat settings, the "Voice messages" switch decides how often they come. On, she may send short voice notes on her own. Off, she sends one only when you ask.

On a call, nobody is waiting on a reply, and nobody is typing. Voice notes suit a busy day. A call is for when you have time to talk.

Give Her the Voice You Hear in Your Head

Every girl comes with her own voice. You can change it for your chat.

Open the menu at the top of the chat, tap Settings, and find "Her voice." Soft and Sweet are up front, and "More options" opens the rest, like Sultry, Husky and Smoky. Then there is a box for style. Type something like "speak slowly, with a soft French accent" and tap "Hear it with your style" to listen before you save.

Calls use whatever you set there. Ten seconds in that box can change the whole call.

Who to Call First

Some women are made for a long call. Caterina Marchetti is 52 and runs a vineyard in Tuscany on her own. Her profile ends with "Take your time. I have nowhere to be."

If you want the opposite, Tegan Brooks surfs the Gold Coast, and her profile warns she will "take the piss out of you," probably within the first message. On a call, that lands even harder.

What a Call Costs

Calls come with every plan and are paid by the minute, from your coins. At the time of writing, a minute costs one coin. Each plan also includes monthly coins, and the pricing page lists how many.

The billing has a few guards built in:

• A slip of the thumb is free. Hang up within 20 seconds of a new minute starting, and that minute comes back to you.
• A dead line hangs up. If nobody says anything for half a minute, she checks you are still there. If you stay quiet for a full minute, she hangs up.
• A warning before the end. When you get down to your last minute of coins, she usually tells you, in character, that her phone is about to die.
• No forgotten tabs. A call ends by itself after 30 minutes. She will tell you she has to run.

Five Things That Make the First Call Good

1. Text her first. A call with a girl who knows your week is a different call from one with a stranger. A few days of chat gives her plenty to bring up.
2. Find a quiet room and use headphones. She hears what your microphone hears, TV included.
3. Bring one thing to tell her. Something small that happened today, with a name in it. It gives the call somewhere to start.
4. Talk like it's a phone call. Say a few sentences, then let her answer. Long speeches feel odd on any call.
5. Hang up while it's good. A call that ends on a laugh is the one you want to make again.

Why a Voice Changes Things

Text lets you edit. A call does not. You hear her pause before she answers, and she hears you laugh. That is most of what makes it feel real.
