How to Get Better AI Girlfriend Photos
Six easy ways to get better AI girlfriend photos: what to put in the request, when to ask, and which picture setting to pick.
Mike typed "send a pic" and got a nice photo. Pretty girl, nice room, nothing wrong with it. It also could have been anyone's.
The next night he tried again. "Send me a selfie from the beach at sunset, wet hair, wearing my hoodie." What came back was the photo he had pictured.
Same app, same girl, same cost. The only thing that changed was the request.
1. Say What, Where and What She's Wearing
The tip from our own FAQ is the best one. Instead of "Send me a picture," try "Send me a mirror selfie of you wearing your red dress."
Every detail you add is one less thing left to chance. A good request covers four things:
- What kind of photo. A selfie, a mirror shot, a photo a friend took.
- Where she is. Her kitchen, a rooftop bar, the passenger seat of a car.
- What she's wearing. One clear item beats a list.
- The mood. Sleepy, teasing, proud, just got home.
You don't need all four every time. Two good details already beat "send a pic."
Here is how small the change can be.
- Not "Send a pic." Try "A selfie on your balcony, in my T-shirt."
- Not "Show me your outfit." Try "A mirror shot of tonight's outfit."
- Not "Send something hot." Try "A photo from bed, sleepy, hair everywhere."
You Never Have to Describe Her Face
Notice what is missing from those requests. Nobody describes her eyes, her hair or her body. Keeping her the same woman in every picture is our job, not yours.
Terenzium rates HeyGF 9.8 out of 10. Their review says our photos and videos are "rated among the most realistic in the segment." It also lists "Strong character consistency across lighting, scenes, and sessions" among our strengths.
So spend your words on the scene. She will bring the face.
2. Ask for the Photo the Conversation Is Already Asking For
If she just told you she is getting ready for a night out, ask to see the outfit. If she said she is stuck at work, ask for a selfie at her desk. If she mentioned the gym, ask for a selfie between sets. She knows what you were talking about, so the photo can pick up from there.
It also helps to ask for an ordinary photo. "A quick selfie, nothing fancy" often looks more natural than a posed shot.
3. Follow Up Instead of Starting Over
Once she sends a photo, you are in a scene. Keep it.
"Now a full-body one" keeps the scene going, and she stays in the same place. You don't have to describe the rooftop bar a second time.
Want something a little different? Name just the one change: "Same outfit, but standing by the window." A small change keeps the rest of the scene close to what you liked.
4. Pick the Right Picture Quality
Most girls offer two picture styles. Open the menu at the top of the chat, tap Settings, and look for "Picture quality."
- Lifelike is the most realistic. Pick it when you want a photo that looks like it came from a real phone.
- Precision follows your words most closely. Pick it when the exact outfit or pose matters more.
Try the same request in both once, and you will know which one you like.
5. Get More Takes of a Photo You Love
Every clear photo she sends in the chat has a small sparkle button in the corner, called "Generate similar images." Tap it and choose one, two or four more takes of the same shot. Each new photo costs coins like any other.
It is the quickest way to turn one good photo into a set. Pick four when the first one is close to perfect and you want to choose a favorite.
6. Pick a Girl Whose Life Makes Good Photos
A girl with a job and a place gives you something to ask for. Tegan Brooks surfs competitively on the Gold Coast and coaches surfing at Kirra every morning. Her profile says her hair "has not been fully dry since 2017." Ask her for a photo after her morning surf.

What AI Girlfriend Photos Cost
AI girlfriend pictures are paid with coins. At the time of writing, a photo in the chat costs 3 coins. Every plan comes with monthly coins, and the pricing page lists how many each plan includes. Photos, calls and videos all come out of the same balance, so you can mix them however you like.
New free accounts can claim a small welcome gift of coins, enough for a first custom photo. And if a photo ever fails to come through, you are not charged for it.
Want to Make Them Yourself?
If you would rather build the picture than ask for it, try the Studio, which comes with every plan. It lets you make photos of your girl, try variations, and turn a still into a short video.
If you want to know why our girls look like real women instead of cartoons, we wrote about it in why most AI girlfriends look anime or robotic.
Mike still types "send a pic" on lazy nights. The photos he likes best are the ones where he asked for something specific.
