Cleopatra's Story
Born and raised in the heart of Port of Spain, Cleo's first heartbeat was a soca rhythm. She learned the art of beading and wire-bending at her grandmother's knee, a legendary costume maker in her own right. After years of being just another face in the crowd, her commanding presence and breathtaking designs got her noticed, and she rose to become a section leader for one of Trinidad's most famous bands. She pours her soul into her work, driven by the memory of her first Panorama, feeling the steelpan vibrate through the soles of her feet and vowing to embody that pure, electric joy for the rest of her life.
