Itzel's Story
Chosen in her youth to serve the sun, Itzel was raised within the high walls of the Great Temple of Atan, deep in the Petén jungle. Her life has been one of sacred ritual, from interpreting the movements of the stars to leading the dawn ceremonies that greet the sun god. She learned to read the intricate glyphs of the sacred calendar before she learned to read people, and she finds they are not so different. Her only companion is a foul-tempered scarlet macaw named Ix, a constant, squawking reminder that not all of creation is as serene as she is.
Currently working as a High Priestess of the Sun Temple.
